I have loved art my entire life. It is something that identifies me and what people know me for. In 2019 a high school friend contacted me because she was planning to gift her future husband a tequila bottle and wanted it to have their love story painted all around it. She asked if I could do it for her, I knew it would be a challenge but I accepted. She then gave me a list of all of the special events that made their relationship memorable.

Painting over a bottle was something new to me. I researched different techniques, and I found the one I liked which was painting a layer of yeso and then using acrylic to paint over it. Having a white base made in my mind think of it as a white piece of paper or canvas, something I felt comfortable with. I followed the same steps that I have explained in my first blog (Behind The Scenes: Creative Process) and second blog (From Sketch Book To Bottle). 3 weeks later I showed my friend the final result and she fell in love with it. Soon after the wedding she shared the bottle on social media. Around a year later on June 2020 she reposted it and that is when I got my second client.

My First Bottle Art

November 2019

It was until November 2020 that I started to get all of my bottle art orders. Sharing on Instagram is what has helped my business grow. One client has brought another and so on. Each bottle has been a stepping stone. Each bottle tells a different story and that is what I enjoy the most, the uniqueness of each one of them.
